The GoSafe Drive and Folder Encryption allows you to designate entire drive or folder for encryption. Any file saved on the designated drive / folder will be encrypted and will work only when GoSafe Dongle is attached to the system.

Note: You should not encrypt system drive i.e. drive on which Windows is installed normally c:\.

The GoSafe Drive and Folder Encryption also has a feature to make encryption unique to your own dongle and not allow file opening from other dongles even from the same set.

Please note that, The GoSafe Drive / Folder Encryption is different than GoSafe File Encryptions and hence you must use same program if you share encrypted files among the members of your group.

During file transfers through online chat programs like Skype, Yahoo Messenger, GTalk and others, it is possible for a hacker to hack your files. It is also not very difficult to hack your email account and download your important file attachments.

To protect your files, one of the best ways is to encrypt them.

Normal encryption and protection techniques use password or a text string to encrypt and protect file. This password is saved inside the file itself and hence it is very easy to crack such encryptions and get hold of your data.

GoSafe uses a USB Dongle to store the encryption key and also uses three other verification keys stored inside dongle plus a unique hardware serial number of the dongle. This makes it very safe and can even be used in military communication.

How GoSafe Drive/Folder Encryption Works:

GoSafe Drive / Folder Encryption depends purely on encryption keys and do not check if the file is encrypted using a specific set. This is by design and helps you share files across globe where you can ask your partner to set specific keys in his/her dongle but it is not practical to provide him dongle from the same set.

Keys can be set in a way to create as desired user group as depicted in image above.
GoSafe Drive / Folder encryption can be used with Unique key or Shared key. In addition you should select any one of the 10 options as combination key for a strong encryption.
